The Return of October Reviews

Whimsy is the predominant note in this story of a girl (Terry Moore) and her reincarnated horse. Before her uncle (James Gleason) died, he remarked that if he ever returned to this world, it would be as a horse, so that he could win the Kentucky Derby. When Terry spots October, she decides the horse is Uncle Willie returned, ready to make a run for the roses. Terry's beliefs cause some greedy relatives who want to gain control of her estate to try to have the girl declared incompetent, but when October comes through at Churchill Downs, it's cause for second thoughts, especially for the psychology professor (Glenn Ford) interested in Terry's case.
