ALIEN in a creepy old museum. There's a killer on the loose in the Chicago Museum of Natural History, lopping off people's heads and sucking out their pituitary glands. Evolutionary biologist Dr. Margo Green (Penelope Anne Miller) teams up with tough cop Vincent D'Agosta (Tom Sizemore) to catch the decapitator before the swanky fund-raising gala that will bring the toast of Chicago society into the museum's shadowy galleries. Now let's see... do we think the cops are looking for a grungy psychopath, or are they hot on the trail of a big slavering mutant monster from the Amazon? There's nothing much new going on here (we feel compelled to point out the resemblance to one of the worst-ever episodes of The X-Files, "Teso Los Bichos"), but it's all slickly done, with the requisite big jumps, false leads, weird science and scary trips down dark corridors.
