Rich folk gather for a dinner party to liquidate hostess Merrill's holdings. Before the night is over they devour not only the meal but each other as well, both psychologically and sexually. Brutal in its candor and often quite funny, THE MEAL was produced in Florida. Beautifully photographed, it's an interesting, compelling work.
