jewels as repayment, but problems arise when local politico Purdom fills the jewel chests with rocks, taking the real gems for himself. The mercenaries attack once more, but Purdom's plot is revealed and he is executed. Valerie and Sernas are reunited once more. This simple story is lost in a

myriad of poor production values. The script is dopey with an amateurish job on the photography and incoherent editing. The actors are stiff and unnatural as they so often are in cheap historical epics. The American version was also hampered by a poor dubbing job.
