Director James Moll's stunning, sobering account of the Holocaust won the 1999 Academy Award for Best Documentary. The film follows five survivors from Hungary, one of the last European nations in which Jews were taken to concentration camps. The stories are told through archive footage and memories shared by the subjects. The film was produced by Steven Spielberg's Shoah Foundation.
