Wallace plays a television anchorwoman who, after being severely traumatized while investigating a story, decides to venture to Macnee's ultra-exclusive California transcendental meditation spa with husband Stone. Unfortunately, the members of Macnee's cult are all werewolves. The transformation

scenes are incredible--the highlight being when sexy siren Brooks seduces Stone and they make love under the moonlight while turning into werewolves. Dante fills the film with hysterical cameos from Corman (at a phone booth) and Sayles (a morgue attendent), among others, and demonstrates a subtle

wit and a flair for horror. A must-see for horror fans, with more than one viewing recommended. Unfortunately, a slew of really awful sequels followed.
