James Glaisher is an aspiring scientist who is hell-bent on proving that man could predict weather by taking a gas balloon to the skies. In 1862, however, only a few believe him and institutions refuse to lend him any help. Fortunately, John Trew, a close friend, is there to support him. When he finally receives the funds he needs, he wastes no time in carrying out his mission. He enlists the help of experienced aviator Amelia Wren and together, they achieve the impossible.
