The horror/science-fiction parody TERRORVISION takes potshots at so many easy targets it can't help but hit a few. The all-American nuclear family endangered here is made up of Stanley Putterman (Gerrit Graham), his wife Raquel (Mary Woronov), daughter Suzy (Diane Franklin), son Sherman

(Chad Allen), and Grampa (Bert Remsen). It seems that on a distant planet, affectionate monsters known as "hungrybeasts" are kept as pets, but sometimes they mutate into voracious threats to all life on the planet. When this happens, the creatures are turned into pure energy and zapped off to the

farthest corner of the galaxy. Unfortunately, a freak alignment of planets deflects the signal to Earth, where it is caught by the Puttermans' satellite dish. While hardly a cinematic triumph, TERRORVISION does have a lot of good laughs and one of the funniest monsters in memory. Indeed, the

monster gives a rather good performance as it insatiably gobbles up everyone in sight. Just as good is Woronov (NIGHT OF THE COMET, ROCK 'N' ROLL HIGH SCHOOL), who has been the best thing in many a bad movie. The failings of the film are its attempt to go after too many targets without the script

to carry the effort and a relentlessly cartoonish style that starts to get tiresome.
