Tamahine Reviews

This film can't decide whether to poke fun at the British education system or send up sex comedies. A beautiful Polynesian girl (Kwan) comes to England after her father dies, making her a ward of his English cousin. She is so stunning that men's temperatures rise every time she appears. Of course, she is naively oblivious to her effect on the male population. One scene shows her posing nude for an artist, raising an uproar in the stiff-upper-lipped British community--although she is just wearing what she always has back home. Kwan shines in the athletic competitions too, winning almost every event against the boys. Eventually she marries her cousin's son, Fraser, and after several years Fraser becomes headmaster when Price retires to Kwan's native island. Filmed on location in England, Paris, and Bora Bora.
