A well-produced B crime drama, SWORN ENEMY features Young as a chauffeur and law student who gets involved in a scheme to pin down local crook Calleia, the man responsible for his boss' murder, his brother's injury, and a number of other crimes. By posing as a fight promoter, and with help from Rice's charms, Young becomes trusted enough to go to Calleia's home, locating the necessary information to pin a number of crimes on Calleia and his gang. A young Anthony Quinn plays a gang member. Although the material is fairly routine, efficient pacing and good performances make for an entertaining outing.
