Set in the late 1920s and early 1930s, this story has its humorous moments about oil wildcatters, some of whom strike it rich. It focuses on a group of three who like to use their fists at a moment's notice, guzzle booze, or go after oil with a vengeance. Cameron, one of the trio, doesn't like the way they do things, so he leaves with his new wife Granville. Right after he leaves, his former partners hit it big and are instantly rich men. Broke, the conniving Cameron finds a law forcing his past buddies to share their wealth. This doesn't sit well with Granville, so she leaves him until he changes his ways. In the end, he helps another independent group of oil wildcatters.
