Little Davey Lee steals the film with his cute smile while his parents wage a custody battle. After the film came out, everyone expected big things for the budding child star, but all the fame never materialized. Lee is the center of the story, caught in the middle of his parents'

impending divorce. His mother cons her sister into stealing him because she is scared her husband will take him out of the country after the divorce is final. Bronson hides in the apartment of the husband's lawyer, who she thinks will be away for a while. But he shows up along with his folks so

she has to pose as his wife and the comedy starts rolling. Finally, she decides to run again, but little Davey is missing. A theater marquee catches his young eye and he wanders toward it. He uses the fire escape, heads into the theater, which is playing THE SINGING FOOL with Al Jolson, and gives

everyone a rendition of "Sonny Boy." This was an early talkie, so the film interchanged from dialog to title cards throughout.
