Farjad is the son of the sovereign of Iran. His father's first wife (Nabili) makes advances towards him, but in keeping with his honor as a knight, Farjad refuses her. Angered at being refused, Nabili tells Moayeri that his son is her lover and that she has given birth to children for

him, though the offspring were murdered. The prince is sentenced to a trial by fire, which he manages to get through alive. He takes command of the armies fighting the enemy, Turan, and forgives Nabili when she is officially pardoned for her lies. Meanwhile, Farid the sovreign of Turan dreams that

his country will be destroyed if he does battle with Iran. He makes a peace offering and gives up 100 hostages at Farjad's request. However, Moayeri is skeptical and orders his son to kill the hostages. The prince refuses and moves to a neutral country. He stops in Turan though, and marries

Farid's daughter. Her uncle Kouklani opposes this union and has Farjad killed as a traitor. An Iranian legend is then related which declares that from the blood of the prince grew the herb known as the blood of Siavash. Based on the 11th-Century epic by Ferdowsi Shahnameh, this film was shot in

16=millimeter stock and probably released in Iran in 1965.
