Shoot Reviews

In a small town a group of National Guardsmen can't help scratching their itchy trigger fingers. A group of hunters fire at them from the woods and, of course, they fire back. One hunter is killed and the whole thing balloons to an all out war. Robertson, who deserved better roles than this, is the only good thing here, giving a decent performance despite the film's overwhelming stupidity. It's little more than a rip-off of DELIVERANCE, with faint echos of TAXI DRIVER tossed in as well. Wholly unoriginal, it seems to exist solely for the sake of allowing characters to fire some prop guns and giving fascism pseudo-psychological insight. A real waste of celluloid.
