Animated retelling of the legend of the swashbuckling outlaw and hero of Sherwood Forest, populated by animals in the familiar roles. Robin Hood and Little John work to outwit the greedy prince as he attempts to take advantage of the poor.

This enjoyable animated feature from Disney Studios retells the Robin Hood legend with animal characters. Robin Hood is a fox, Allan-A-Dale a rooster, Friar Tuck a badger, Little John a bear, and the Sheriff of Nottingham a wolf. Maid Marian remains a compatible fox for her loving hero. An inventive, well-animated, appropriately cast film. The tune "Love" by George Bruns and Floyd Huddleston received an Oscar nomination for Best Song.
