Standard soaper features Burr as a powerful and influential public relations man. It is his job to keep snooty VIPs' scandals out of print. The job embitters him because none of his clients will accept him as a peer. Taylor is a Korean War veteran Burr hires, a man whose father was a

poverty-stricken railroad worker. Taylor conceals his past because he wants to rise above it all. He is assigned to take care of Forrest, a poor little rich girl who is constantly getting into trouble. Taylor falls in love and admits his past to her, which Forrest accepts. This turgid melodrama

was originally conceived as a television film but was withheld from broadcast and released theatrically. The translation from small to big screen does not work well since the restricted camera movements and simplistic, stagey action comes off poorly. As a TV film, it is nothing out of the

ordinary, with standard performances and production values.
