This strange, rarely seen film with an all-black cast features McKinney as a Jamaican native who inherits her father's rubber plantation when he dies. Her successful sister, James, arrives from New York in the hope of getting the plantation for herself, but McKinney tries to scare her off

with phony voodoo rituals. This fails and the two sisters reconcile and run the plantation together. This was shot on location in Kingston, Jamaica, as a remake of OUANGA, an equally obscure effort with a similar story line. McKinney had been one of the stars in HALLELUJAH (1929), and later made a

tour of Europe billed as "the black Garbo."
