Pieces of Dreams Reviews

Young Catholic priest Forster begins to have doubts about the church when he meets social worker Hutton and falls in love. After going sharing several emotional experiences in their work (treating poor people with gunshot wounds, troubled pregnancies, etc.), the priest and social worker begin an affair. Seeking advice from his mother and his sister, Forster is shocked when they harangue him for even questioning his dedication to the Lord. Later, the confused clergyman is beaten up by a group of punks who accuse him of being gay. Forster eventually decides to leave the church and make a go of it with Hutton. A bit dull and maudlin. The title song was nominated for an Academy Award.
