Cowboy star Roy Stewart plays an effete Easterner who heads westward to recover from tuberculosis. En route, the Easterner makes the acquaintance of an outlaw who happens to be his exact double (both roles are, of course, played by Stewart). The outlaw decides to use his look-alike as a convenient alibi for his own various acts of skullduggery, causing no end of trouble for the convalescing Easterner. On the verge of being lynched, the "good" Stewart is saved by the deathbed confession of his double. What all this has to do with paying the titular debt is anyone's guess, since this film apparently no longer exists.
