Anybody who has ever dealt with moonshiners in the hills of Tennessee and Kentucky will quickly note the implausibilities in this script. A mobster gets another hood, Armstrong, a former mountain man, out of prison after exacting a promise from him to go back to the hills (after twenty

years of racketeering), and persuade the moonshiners to supply corn liquor to him. Armstrong goes through with his part of the deal, and actually swings it, so that a steady stream of liquor arrives for the syndicate. The law steps in, finally, and Albertson, a US agent, defeats the mob in a wild

gun battle, and wins the love of a saloonkeeper's daughter in the bargain.
