After a bank president swindles him out of his savings, Nolan robs the bank and is sent to jail. Nolan escapes, marries the warden's daughter, Conklin, and they live as fugitives. In the end, justice wins out and Nolan is returned to his cell. Mainly a preachy story about the harshness of prisons rather than the futility of swindling.
