got what he deserved when he married the nagging Wray. This was the first of three adaptations of James Hagan's play. Warner Bros. made a second version in 1941 under the title THE STRAWBERRY BLONDE starring James Cagney, Olivia de Havilland, and Rita Hayworth, and directed by Raoul Walsh. Warner

remade it another time in 1948, again with Walsh directing, under the original title and starring Dennis Morgan, Dorothy Malone, and Janis Paige.
