part of the Jeep's engine and disappears. Then, while playing cards with some farmers, Hossein is caught cheating, and the angry players break his hands. Hossein seeks refuge with Salvatori and Salvatori's lover, Aimee. After a while Hossein wanders off, still bitter over the mutilation. He meets

an old woman who angers him; his mind snaps and he kills her. A posse is soon formed, among whose members are Salvatori and the farmers who broke Hossein's hands. They track him down, but Hossein kills the farmers who crippled him. Salvatori kills Hossein so that he will not be taken by the

authorities.
