Van Johnson is due to receive the Medal of Honor for his efforts during WW II. He and his buddy Wynn decide to live it up in London before heading home. He can't wait to reunite with his fiancee, but, unbeknownst to Johnson, his intended had taken up with another while he was off

fighting. Kirkwood is the radio singer who somehow manages to soothe Johnson's slightly ruffled feathers. The plot is standard programmer stuff and so poorly handled that it's an embarrassment. Kirkwood was brought to the U.S. for this film and was given the star treatment upon arrival. As it

turned, out this was her first and last Hollywood film. The script is a series of witless gags and routines, giving the two male leads no real chance to show their talents. Lombardo and Cugat each lead their respective bands for a few numbers, the only bright spots in this standard, sub-par

outing. Songs and musical numbers include: "All the Time" (Ralph Freed, Sammy Fain, sung by Pat Kirkwood), "Isn't It Wonderful" (Kay Thompson, sung by Kirkwood), "Love on a Greyhound Bus" (Thompson, Ralph Blane, Georgie Stoll), "It'll Be Great to Be Back Home" (Charles Martin), "Old Sad Eyes"

(Irving Kahal, Fain), "When It's Love" (Edgar De Lange, Nicholas Kharito), "Oye Negra" (performed by Xavier Cugat and His Orchestra).
