A show is over and the curtain falls. The audience all files out, with one exception--a murdered man in the front row. Since the angle of his bullet wound proves the murderer was on stage, the cast must go through the entire second act of the play. In the end Makeham, a stage handyman, is

proven guilty. The mystery is little more than an excuse to film a few song and dance numbers. These are nicely staged and come off a good deal better than the investigation. Hampered by trite dialog and an easy solution, Marsh and sidekick Pertwee do what they can in discovering the murderer's

identity. Filmed at London's Windmill club. Songs include "I'll Settle for You" (Val Guest) and "Mexico" (Ronald Bridges, Charles Rose).
