show. The film was designed to fill out a double bill, and was undoubtedly made in haste on a small budget, which shows in the inadequate direction and poor production values. Withers manages to rise above the inept production with her singing and dancing. Songs include: "Where There's Love,"

"Upsy Downsy," "I've Got the Flyin'est Feelin" (Kim Gannon, Walter Kent). MY BEST GAL represents an early directorial effort by Anthony Mann, best known for his well-crafted westerns of the 1950s, particuarly those starring James Stewart.
