Heroic pilots fight the Chinese "volunteer" pilots in the sky during the early days of the Korean conflict. Derek is a headstrong rookie out to avenge his brother's death, while Hodiak is his commanding officer trying to keep him in line. Some talented cast members are wasted, while some untalented ones are much too heavily relied on. Released subsequent to the armistice agreement, this embarrassing film contained every war-film cliche ever invented. Actor Rex Reason, who later did remarkably good work in low-budget B westerns, was the best thing in the film as the sensible, pragmatic commanding officer.
