Finklstein is a 24-year-old woman who must look after her brothers and sisters. Their mother is gone, and her father (Hizkiyahu) is a lazy drunkard. She falls in love with a professor and has her first affair. The film is written and directed by Golan, one of the world's most prolific

film producers. Unfortunately, he didn't have much talent behind the typewriter, for the script is little more than soap opera. He has a good director's eye, however, showing some wonderful insights into everyday Jerusalem and its populace. Finklstein gives a fine performance, and her sensitive

and mature handling of the role makes the slight plot believable. After finishing this film she went back to her work as a member of the Women Units of the Israel Defence Army.
