the life her man leads. While out in search of her, Mitchum is hired by a town under the thumb of a land-grabber. He does in the bad man and his henchman, winning back the affections of Sterling in the process. A well-cast film, with an ensemble that perfectly supports Mitchum. With good direction

that knows the material, and with some crisp photography and editing, the result is a good action western that rises above so many in the genre. Look for Dickinson in one of her earlier film roles. An auspicious debut for producer Goldwyn, a crown prince of Hollywood-mogul royalty.
