Little Cigars Reviews

THE TERROR OF TINY TOWN was the first all-midget Western. Thirty-five years after that epic's release, someone got the bright idea of doing an all-midget gangster picture. Here the film's heavies are a five-midget group of racketeers. Tompkins is a normal-sized gun moll on the run from her boy friend. She gets involved with the quintet, who stage a medicine show as a ruse so they can rob cars. She becomes the star attraction of their show, performing with two of the gang while the other three go about their crooked task. Highly offbeat and a lot better than one might suspect. Jokes abound about the diminutive sizes, but the film is not at all insulting, unlike the awful UNDER THE RAINBOW a few years later. Despite their size, these midgets can sure take a punch as well as any movie tough guy.
