This comeback for Carlisle stars her as the vocalist of a chamber music quintet that has seen better days. They lose their nightclub gig when a scheming orchestra manager persuades nightclub owner Carrillo to book his orchestra. Frawley, as the manager, concocts the story that orchestra

vocalist Jones is heir to a fortune, and that Carrillo, by giving the band a spot, can get a chunk of the inheritance. But the scheme is exposed after Carlisle, in disguise as a chambermaid, figures it out. All ends well, despite--or because of--the complications. The film delivers some

entertaining musical performances, especially by the King Sisters, but the thin script and weak direction don't add up to a stellar musical. Songs include: "For the Want of You" (Jule Styne, Eddie Cherkoss, sung by the King Sisters), "They Died with Their Boots Laced," "Do You Hear Music?"

"Please, Louise" (Don Raye, Gene DePaul), "Only in Dreams" (Sam Lerner, Charles Previn), "When You Wore a Tulip" (Jack Mahoney, Percy Wenrich, sung by the King Sisters).
