This strange little film features Thinnes as a 21st-century astronaut assigned to an unusual mission. Wymark has discovered a new planet on the far side of the sun. He sends Thinnes, along with Hendry, in a space ship and puts the two into a state of suspended animation. Three weeks later

the ship crashes, and Hendry is seriously hurt. An unknown ship rescues them and takes them back to Wymark, but Hendry dies. Thinnes tries to tell Wymark about the mission, but Wymark doesn't seem to understand. When Thinnes sees a newspaper with reverse writing, he realizes that he is on the

newly discovered planet and that it is a mirror image of Earth. Thinnes talks Wymark's doppelganger into financing a mission back to Earth. But when the ship crashes, Thinnes is taken to an insane asylum--his story too strange for his fellow Earthlings to believe. This interesting premise is

severely hampered by an overwritten script and an unnecessary subplot involving espionage. However, the special effects are first rate. This film was produced by the Andersons, the British couple who created the puppet TV shows "Supercar" and "Thunderbirds."
