Johnny Banco Reviews

Buchholz, the owner of a casino in Barcelona, steals 100 million francs from de Re, a reputed gangster and dealer of bogus antiques. Chased by de Re's bloodthirsty henchmen, Buchholz heads to Monte Carlo, pretending to be a millionaire. There he marries rich American widow Koscina. When de Re hears of the marriage, he and Buchholz's former mistress, Wiener, go to Monte Carlo and win back the gangster's fortune. Buchholz considers murdering his bride to make her wealth his, but de Re beats him to the punch, framing Buchholz for the crime. Rambling and ultimately boring, the film is further hampered by Buchholz's weak performance; he tries to play his role for laughs but lacks the necessary comic talents.
