Invasion of the Blood Farmers Reviews

A self-consciously campy, ultra-low-budget effort ($40,000), INVASION OF THE BLOOD FARMERS focuses on an upstate New York Druid cult whose devotees worship a queen interred in a glass coffin. To resurrect their leader, the Druid farmers slaughter passersby in search of the proper blood type for use in a ritual blood feast. As you may have guessed, the title is the best thing about this movie, which is pretty inept in all departments but is somewhat enjoyable nonetheless. Director Adlum also wrote the equally bad SHRIEK OF THE MUTILATED (1974) and was a writer for the Detroit-based Creem rock 'n' roll magazine.
