Elliott graduated from the "Red Ryder" series to more substantial fare in this film as a gentleman gambler and stagecoach robber who falls for ethically pure saloon girl Moore. She protects her lover from the clutches of the sheriff and local vigilantes, but, when a young prospector who has

a crush on Moore is falsely accused of wrong-doing, Elliott is ever the gentleman and gives himself up. The law is not nearly as couth, shooting him down and leaving him to die in Moore's arms. Moore sings "Camptown Races" and "Can't Tell Why I Love You." Other ditties are "Speak to Me of Love,"

"The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo," and "My Gal's a High-Born Lady."
