Hirsch takes on multiple roles in this interesting French-Israeli coproduction. He plays a dying orchestra conductor, the conductor's one legitimate son, and his five illegitimate sons (one of whom is a transvestite who goes under two different names). The conductor plans to will his

fortune to the city of Jerusalem, but, after being visited by the ghost of his father, he changes the will. The ghost tells him that the only way he can atone for his sins is to marry his children off to Israeli women before the Sabbath. He calls his sons together and explains to them that they

will receive his money if they marry, but one of them refuses and Jerusalem is again made the legal heir.
