Hotel Haywire Reviews

Inoffensive comedy starring Overman as a smart aleck husband who tries to spring a joke on a buddy at a poker game. But the joke's on him when he returns home with an item of female clothing in his pocket that does not belong to his wife. The rest of the film is devoted to the vengeance of Overman's wife, Byington, to con man and fortune teller Carrillo, and to a dull juvenile romance between Carlisle and Patterson, thrown in for good measure. Not one of writer Sturges' better efforts.
