Ruggles plays a wimpy clerk about to marry socialite Munson, whose aunt, Caine, has a very large account with his company. The owner of the agency, Lane, discovers that after the marriage Munson will withdraw her account from the agency and give it to Ruggles. Lane decides to break up the marriage so he hires the blonde bombshell wife of a vaudevillian friend to pull a practical joke on Ruggles, which nearly causes Ruggles to lose his bride-to-be. Munson, however, has complete faith in him and they are wed, despite the weird circumstances.
