Margaret O'Brien tricks her parents into sending her to summer camp so she can be close to Martin, on whom she has a wild crush. When he needs money for a camp project, O'Brien skips into town and steals $25 from her father's safe. Unknowingly, she also takes the ownership papers of her father's business.
