French Dressing Reviews

This shaky first effort by director Russell is a light-hearted comedy concerning a dying British resort. Ambitious deck chair attendant Booth and his American girl friend Naughton convince the town fathers to stage a film festival in the village. To attract crowds, they enlist the aid of sexy French newcomer Mell (patterned after Bridgette Bardot) to host the festivities. Of course, there are the usual set of disasters when the event attracts more patrons than the townfolk can handle. Amusing but forgettable.
