Gothic horror author H.P. Lovecraft wrote that the "oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear." Horror movies play off the moth to the flame fascination many people have with horrific fear by creating the emotion in a safe setting. Fearmakers, Vol. 2 is the second in a three-tape documentary series of videos examining and reviewing top horror movie directors and the films that brought them fame. Produced by Simitar Entertainment, creators of the successful Christopher Lee-narrated 100 Years of Horror video series, Fearmakers follows the careers of various masters of horror, including John Carpenter and Jacques Tourneur. This volume covers the prolific producer/director Roger Corman, who was responsible for A Bucket of Blood, Premature Burial, "X" - The Man With the X-Ray Eyes, and others; Tobe Hooper, director of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Poltergeist; and Roman Polanski, the troubled virtuoso behind Rosemary's Baby.
There are no TV Airings of Fearmakers, Vol. 2 in the next 14 days.
