David Lowell (Stephen Collins), a Harvard-graduate physicist, has set up a high-tech lab in a Utah canyon where he hopes to harness a "safe" energy that will replace nuclear power. This energy is to be drawn from high-frequency sound waves that will be at full potential when Halley's Comet passes directly over the canyon. Naturally there are bad guys who plan on throwing a wrench--or more correctly nuclear waste--into his system. This is a pretty ridiculous film that still manages to be fun, mainly becomes it doesn't take itself too seriously. Director and former stunt coordinator Chuck Bail proves that directing stunts and action scenes are his forte.
