This occasionally funny film set in One Zillion B.C. stars Ringo Starr as caveman Atouk. Forming his own tribe from the outcasts of others, Atouk has a number of prehistoric adventures and misadventures. Relying mostly on slapstick visual humor (only 15 words are spoken, otherwise the "dialog" is all grunts and groans), the action quickly becomes madcap. One of the most memorable and fitting scenes is Atouk's invention of rock'n'roll--using real rocks. The film is also pushed along by Lalo Shifrin's appropriate score. Atouk's chief lust interest is played by Barbara Bach, Ringo's real-life wife-to-be.
