Carnival Boat Reviews

Tedious lumber camp drama starring Boyd as a hard-working logger whose head is turned by showgirl Rogers when she arrives on the title vessel. Boyd's love for her causes a falling out between him and his father, Bosworth, who wants to see his son take over the family logging business. Much footage is devoted to falling trees and buzzing saws, and the climactic action sequences see Boyd nearly single-handedly free a log jam, stop a runaway train, and defeat the villain, Kohler. The James Mason in the cast is not the English actor, who did not receive his first screen credit until 1938 in RETURN OF THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL.
