After boasting about his skills as a cowboy on his program, radio star Benny is invited to a ranch out West. At first declining the invitation, Benny later accepts when the pretty Drew turns his romantic offer down. Upon arriving in Nevada, Benny makes a fool out of himself trying to ride wild horses and challenging cowpokes to punching contests. He eventually becomes a true western hero when he unwittingly captures two outlaws with the assistance of Carmichael the polar bear. Witty 1940s comedy that unfortunately relies too heavily on the structure and wordplay of Benny's radio shows. Although funny, it is not cinematic in the least, lacking the physical charm of the work of Keaton, Chaplin, or the Marx Brothers. Benny's personality is a delight, and his amusing cohorts from the radio programs are all present.
