A magazine editor vies for an artist's memoirs disclosing relationships she had with numerous famous men. One of the men in question, currently running for U.S. Senator, tries to veto the project. Based on the play "Biography" by S.N. Behrman.

Artist Harding, whose career was boosted by her first flame, a rising politician, meets up with editor Montgomery who disdains capitalist bureaucracy and all its components since he was left holding his father's hand when his dad was shot down in a labor war. Good technical support, solid direction, and excellent performances make this one above average.
