Jahkor lands in prison and starts to rethink the life that he lived prior to his arrest. He contemplates the experiences he had as a struggling rapper trying to keep things clean while being caught amidst a gang war in his Oakland home. He encounters his imprisoned father, J.D., and reassesses his relationship with him, in the hopes of breaking the crime cycle of his family for the sake of his newborn son.
