A Gentleman After Dark

Donlevy breaks out of prison to kill his blackmailing wife and protect the honor of his daughter so that she can marry without knowing the knavery of her parents. The bad scripting and direction don't hurt Donlevy, who comes across strongly in spite of a production that seems intent on shooting him down. A remake of FORGOTTEN FACES (1936).
