Scott, in a pre-cowboy role, plays a transport pilot who turns down a mission he deems unsafe. This angers his superiors and he's fired. Scott invests in a rundown airport and starts his own school for pilots. He works with the students but the school almost closes because of money

problems. When the government announces a new program for pilot training, Scott is given a reprieve. Foster, a government inspector who had fought with Scott earlier, sends his brother Shaw to the school. Shaw bails out over the Grand Canyon and Scott is nearly killed searching for him. The story

is trite, padded out with good footage of planes, particularly in the Grand Canyon sequences. The direction is programmer quality, telling the story without embellishment. The film was tied in with a government program which hoped to recruit 20,000 men a year for pilot training.
