The Larry David of Curb Your Enthusiasm has never had the easiest time with women. Cheryl, his wife, forces him to conform to a society he wants little part in. Susie, his manager's wife, is his nemesis. And Wanda, Cheryl's friend, never fails to catch him in a moment that makes him look bad. Meet the women Larry can't live with — and can't live without. Watch Curb Your Enthusiasm, followed by Curb: The Discussion, on Wednesday at 10/9c on TV Guide Network.

Cheryl David (Cheryl Hines)

The love of Larry's life doesn't always get him. Even his attempts to be generous — like bringing food and silverware to his hired driver — end up shattering her attempts at a peaceful, conformist life.

Susie Greene (Susie Essman)

The wife of Larry's manager, Jeff Greene, ignores or fails to notice Jeff's many affairs. But somehow Larry can't slip anything past her. She sees her frequent, profane denunciations of him as a moral duty.

Sammy (Ashly Holloway)

Does anyone get Larry in more trouble than Sammy, Jeff and Susie's daughter? He's gotten her drunk, beheaded her doll, and told her to shut up when she was singing. The latter incident fuels one of Susie's best tirades: "You've squashed the spirit of a talented young girl!"

Loretta Black (Vivica A. Fox)

Loretta Black and her family start out benefitting from the Davids' generosity, but she becomes, for a time, Larry's saviour — and the only woman who can stand up to Susie.

Julia Louis Dreyfus (Julia Louis Dreyfus)

Larry is always on the brink of collaborating with his former Seinfeld cohorts. But his too-casual attitude with them always threatens to undermine their projects, and friendships. Note his mishandling of the time Julia accuses him, in not so many words, of not respecting wood.

Wanda (Wanda Sykes)

Cheryl's best friend suspects Larry of being secretly racist, and always manages to catch him in out-of-context moments that support her theory.

Monina (Kym Whitley)

Larry picks up Monina, a prostitute, just so he can take the car pool lane to Dodger Stadium. But they get along so famously that she ends up giving his dad some "shiznick" marijuana for his glaucoma.

Larry's mother

Even after Larry's mother dies, she remains constantly on his mind — because her death gives him an excuse to get out of anything he doesn't want to do. One way he shows his gratitude? By bribing a cemetery groundskeeper, in the photo above, to move her remains to a better location.

Mary Steenburgen (Mary Steenburgen)

Steenburgen and her husband, Ted Danson, seem to do everything right. They give to charity, hold lovely parties, and go to nice dinners. All of which give Larry chances aplenty to make a jerk of himself in their presence. Which he does, again and again.

Jeff's mom (Mina Kolb)

Larry's awkward relationship with Jeff's parents only gets worse when Jeff's mom accuses him of feeling her up.

Antoinette (Antoinette Spolar)

The only woman who sticks with Larry through everything — everything — is his receptionist. Because he pays her. Watch Curb Your Enthusiasm, followed by Curb: The Discussion, on Wednesday at 10/9c on TV Guide Network.
